From a quaint hill town in the foothills of the Western Ghats began a culinary revolution. It has now become a force to reckon with in the world of spices and condiments.

Eastern was spearhead by M E Meeran, who founded Eastern trading company as a whole sale provision business in 1969 in Adimali Kerala. He expanded it to a trading business in 1975 as Eastern Agencies and set up Eastern Condiments in 1983.

Eastern Condiments Pvt Ltd is a flagship company of the Rs.1200-cr Eastern Group. We are the undisputed leaders in the country engaged in the manufacturing and marketing of spice powders, including masala mixes, breakfast staples and a host of other products. We are also the largest exporters of spices in the country as supply arms reach the US, Europe, African and Middle East countries.

Founded in 1983 by Mr. M. E. Meeran (1941- 2011), it is headquartered at Kochi, India. It’s leadership team include Chairman, Mr. Navas Meeran and Managing Director, Mr. Firoz Meeran.

Eastern group of associates includes Eastern Mattresses(Sunindra), Eastern Treads Limited, Eastern Clothing Company(King Richard), Eastern Aqua Minerals, Eastea Chai P Ltd and Eastern Newton Public School.

Eastern is the winner of the largest exporter for spice powders in consumer packs from India by the Spices Board for the past 17 years consecutively.We have a strategic tie up with Mc Cormick- the Worlds largest Spices Company. Eastern has 1300 highly qualified and well-trained professionals drawn from various fields.

Eastern maintain high quality standards by procuring farm fresh raw spices from the source markets in India, and other spice growing countries, processes in its state of the art, international standard factories with a unique flavour lock technology, and directly delivers to the retailers. Company’s quality certifications and accreditation include HACCP, BRC and ISO 22000. In the spice sector Eastern is the first company to adopt a fully automated and NABL accredited IC Microbiology-testing Laboratory
